Balls system

Basic rules for scoring:

Mahjong (winning combination)
Mahjong (basic): If a player has a winning hand (4 sets and a pair), he receives a basic number of points. The points depend on the complexity of the combination.
Basic Mahjong: 10 points
Mahjong with a bonus (for example, if a player has made a combination using “Kong”): 20 points
Types of combinations
Pong (triplet): 5 points for each complete three of the same tiles.
Chow (sequence): 3 points for each complete sequence of three tiles of the same suit.
Kong (quadruplet): 15 points for a set of four of the same tiles.
Pair: 2 points for each pair.

Bonuses for rare combinations

Color combination (i.e. all tiles of the same suit): +10 points.
Purist hand (all tiles of the same suit and one pair): +20 points.
Kong with an extra move: +10 points for the extra move granted by having a quadruplet.
Big Win (if the player has collected all the tiles of the same suit): +30 points.

Action Bonuses

Broken Kong (when the player gets a Kong during the game, not through a combination): +5 points.
Secret Mahjong (if the player has finished the game without declaring a combination, but through a random or hidden card): +15 points.
Strategy Scoring: Each player can get extra points for a strategic move, such as a sequence of actions that leads to a win.

Penalty Points

Wrong Move: If a player makes an incorrect move (e.g., does not follow the rules when discarding a tile or draws the wrong tile), he/she is penalized: -5 points.
Premature declaration of “Mahjong”: If a player mistakenly declares “Mahjong” before he has collected the required combination, he will be given a penalty of -10 points.

Calculating the final points

Players receive points for winning combinations, bonuses for rare combinations and actions. All these points are added up.

The player with the most points in the round wins and receives additional points for winning.

In case of a tie, the points are divided equally between the players.
